This little one is so smily, sweet and busy. She was really fun to work with. Toddlers can be tricky to photograph. You definitely have to have flexible expectations. A strategy that worked well during this session was having Mom or Dad hold the little girl in the direction I'd be shooting, so I could meter. Then, they'd point her and persuade her towards me and off she went. Sometimes, she decided to go off-roading and that was okay. Those shots often end up being my favorites. You, also, have to shoot a lot with little ones. Their expressions, attention, direction and mood can change in a split second. If the parents are familiar with your style, then be patient, shoot a ton, and have fun.
