I always forget that I can grab great light and simplify backgrounds just by de-cluttering right at home. I cleared off this couch from pillows and opened the curtains all the way to get light to spill onto any young man that would come to help their desperate mom take pictures. I also removed plants and a lamp that were casting strange shadows on the walls. Optimally, I should have tried this out earlier in the day, because the glow in the room deteriorates considerably by early afternoon. I captured the last bit of workable light, but this forced me to use an ISO of 1600 in order to pull up my shutter speed up to about 1/80 to crisp up these very quick subjects.
I used noise reduction in ACR to help with some noise. No major editing was done. I did slightly correct skin tones and adjusted the exposures just a little.
